Registration details. Students register for our programs – PSAT 240, ACT 36 and SAT 2400 – in two ways. Sometimes students register through their own high schools. Junior families receive a packet of information, usually by mail or e-mail, and the final page of the packet is the Registration. Information at the bottom of the Registration page will direct parents and juniors, telling them the due date for enrolling, the tuition, and the drop-off location. Students also may register on this web site by following the links on this page. As students register on line, they also may access a PDF of their school’s information.
Enrollment due date. Note that whether students register at their high school, by mail or on this web site, the enrollment due date is the same. All students who register on time ARE GUARANTEED a spot in the program. Students may register late on a space available basis.
Program calendar. Each school has a very individualized calendar that avoids school holidays, vacations and major extracurricular events. A school selects a “best” day for the program to be held at their campus, one that complements those of neighboring ExcelEdge schools, which allows students to make up absences easily. To enhance test scores, all schools’ programs finish immediately before the school’s scheduled national test date.
PSAT 240 classes meet August through October for the PSAT/NMQT, which is given only once in a school year, either on a Wednesday or a Saturday in the middle of October. Registration for PSAT 240 occurs in the summer just before the school year begins.
ACT 36 classes are scheduled in eight and nine-week blocks between January and April. Registration for ACT 36 occurs October through the end of December.
SAT 2400 classes are scheduled in eight-week blocks immediately preceding all spring SAT exams: March, May and June. Depending on their school’s preferred test date, students may register for SAT 2400 from November through March.
